About

Sophie Anna Green’s (b. 1999, West Sussex) work seeks to represent forms of landscape through crafting an unveiled perception of geological, anthropological and ecological studies.

In weaving together the materiality of land with the theoretical influences of poets, writers, scientists and thinkers she explores journeys; not just of the physical, but of the mind and of time. Through the processes of printmaking, she embeds narratives and auras within marks, reinterpreting her own experience of the land.

An experience which is fleeting, a moment in the eyes of the universe. These marks are a contribution to the fading memories and echoes of landscape – something to leave behind.

A layered experience, both of land, time and object.

Graduating from the Royal College of Art in September with an MA in Print, Green has exhibited in independent shows and mixed exhibitions. Most notably the Royal College of Art Graduate Show, 2025 and the South Downs Open, Petersfield Museum 2024-2025.
